The OLETA chapter welcomed Melissa into the chapter. She already had a pledge ritual and is training now with Karen H.
Karen from Canada enjoyed her stay in Texas on the Riverwalk.
Greta moved and is hopefully comfortable in her new digs.
Amy made an appearance before taking off for summer fun with her boys.
Donna gave a nice program on June 14th Flag Day.
Our chapter is on summer break, so we have little to report.

President’s Report
A great big thank you to all of our Officers and committee chairwomen. The 2018-2019 theme “ A Quilt of Friendship” is a such a great way for us to connect this year as we are all a big part of each other’s quilts.
Programs
May 2018 We explained how we prepared for natural and man- made disasters. Some Sisters shared their personal experiences of said disasters.
June 2018 What would you want to be included in your friendship quilt? …military, pets, squares in RCMP in 12 family remembrance quilts, parents, friends and travel. We also discussed our experience with Special needs family members and students to name just a few.
Service
May 2018 How important we all are to each Sister and how important it is to let each other know.
June 2018 Personal experience with migraine headaches and the research and medicine available
Membership
June 2018 Pledge training is up through lesson 7. There are 2 lessons left and then review.
Socials
May 2018 We will have 3 scheduled socials and our chairwoman is on the lookout for Sisters who like to participate in having fun and especially have great imaginations.
Koffee Klatch
May 2018 Sisters shared their summer and winter plans depending on which hemisphere they lived in.
June 2018 We were invited to a tea party. Each Sister arrived with a favorite dessert and the recipe to share.

Social: Ann created a most wondrous social. Sisters set out for a wonderful day at the movies, with a choice of 4, and followed by good old fashioned ice cream. What a wonderful afternoon we had.
Book review: Ann shared the true story of Joey + Rory Feek “This Life I Live”.
Recipe: Ann shared a recipe for a fruit salad. It sounded so good A must try.
Program: Ann gave a very informative program on Father’s Day and its history and other interesting facts.

New Business:
Ann closed the business meeting on June 13, 2018 with reading the Closing Ritual and Mizpah.
On June 4 11 OLB members & 2 spouses met in Pigeon Forge, TN for a few days. We all had a great time visiting Dollywood, the Titanic Museum, Cade's Cove in the Smokies, did some hiking, Wine & Moonshine tours, good food & the best part-- lots of visiting. It was great to see those we have met before and meet some sisters we had never met face to face.
On Fri, most of the group moved to a hotel in Gatlinburg where the TN state convention was being hosted by Knoxville in Gatlinburg. We started the weekend with lunch at a tea room with our sister & International President of the Executive council Laura Wingfield as well as
sisters from New Orleans, Nashville & Crossville land chapters.
The TN conv ended on Sunday with many making plans to attend the 2019 TN State convention "Lost In A Book" in Nashville and another gathering
Our July meeting was in progress during the Cyber Council meeting. Highlights: OLB welcomed one new member! A 2nd Vice President for the Executive Board vacancy position was approved. We also have a new Parlimentarian. A new budget was presented. Service projects for Random Acts of Kindness were shared. Recipes, such as Sangria Skirt Steak and Sangria Chicken! Photos of a craft decorating glasses were stunning! We have side groups who meet between meetings- such as Bookworms and Cardmaking.
