The Sisters of On Line Psi wish all of you a Happy Easter, a Happy

Cyber Council meeting, and all is well in OLP. In February we elected
Kathy as our Valentine Queen 2012. Currently we are accepting
nominations for our Woman of the Year. MEMBERSHIP: This year On
Line Psi experienced some changes in membership. In December Carol from
Spokane, Washington joined our group. Barbara, an inactive member of
OLP, became active and returned to our chapter in January. In
February, Vicki N became a member-at-large. In March, Dee and Kimberly
became inactive. At our March meeting, we had two guests - Krissie and

Irish Barmbrack.. the Irish traditionally serve this sweet bread on
Halloween to predict the fortunes of the coming year. Often a ring (to symbolize
approaching marriage) a coin (wealth) and a button ) many blessings) are
put into the loaf. Am sure this would be delicious at any time of the year.
2 pkg. yeast, active dry or compressed
1/2 cup warm water (lukewarm for compressed yeast)
4 cups regular all-purpose flour (sift before measuring.
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 cup softened butter
1 cup scalded milk, cooled
3/4 cup seedless raisins

1/2 cup finely chopped candied orange or lemon peel
Foil, coin or button (optional)
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. water
Dissolve yeast in the 1/2 cup warm water and set aside for 5 minutes.
Sift 2 cups of the flour again with the 1/2 cup sugar, salt and allspice. Add
the butter and milk to the flour mixture along with the dissolved yeast.
Beat mixture for about 2 minutes with an electric mixer. Cover and set in a
warm place until the mixture doubles in volume, about 20 min. Then with a
wooden spoon, beat in the remaining 1 cups of flour, one cup at a time.
Turn dough out onto a well-floured board and knead for about 4 minutes.,
kneading in the raisins, currants, citrus peel, and foil wrapped charms,
if you wish. Put dough into a clean, greased bowl, turning to grease top of
dough.
Cover and set in a warm place; let dough rise until doubled in bulk.
Then stir down dough, shape into a round, and place on a greased baking sheet. Let
rise until almost doubled. Bake in a moderate oven (350 degrees) for about 45
minutes. Mix the 2 Tbsp. sugar with the 1 Tbsp. water; brush over loaf.
Bake for 5 minutes more. Makes 1 loaf. Serve as is or toasted.
ENJOY!!! and a Happy St.Patrick's Day to everyone!!! Beta Hugs, Jean

OLT has been a busy little groups of ladies. We elected our Sweetheart -
Mair. Mair lives in Canada and gives us so many bits of interesting
information. She is of Welsh descent and very active in Rainbow Girls. She is
such a wonderful asset to our chapter.
The results of our Woman of the Year poll will be announced at
Founder's Day the end of this month when we gather in Santa Barbara, CA. One of
my favorite places when we lived in California. Such a pretty place.
We elected our 2012-2013 officers today. Since all were unopposed, we
voted to accept the slate by acclimation. I will continue as our CC rep.
I did our cultural/social event last month on the island of Malta. I
lived there for two years when my husband was working in Libya. The
company thought it better to base the families in Malta than Libya. So the guys
worked a rotation schedule in and out of Tripoli. If any of you would like
to see what I presented, let me know and I will send my info to you.
We have enjoyed many interesting program. One sister collects bells
and had many interesting stories about them. The other program was about
Fenton glass which sent us scurrying to see if any of stuff was real Fenton!

OLD Sharing Report (Feb/March 2012)
The February Program followed our theme of Traditions and we discussed "What Beta Sigma Phi Means to Me", when we joined and why. These sort of programs certainly helps everyone to get to know each other so much better.
Evelyn transported us all to Istanbul for one of the most spectacular socials we have had yet. We sure needed a few days to recover and reflect on all the fun we had together.
Susan conducted the Book Review on Kate Morton's publication of "The House at Riverton and/or The Shifting Fog".Interesting to discover the same books are published in different counties with a variation to the titles. We have not previously done much in the way of Book Reviews. "Someone Knows My Name" by Lawrence Hill is set to be reviewed at the end of April. This book was published in the northern hemisphere as The Book of Negroes.
Karon Cowanhas done a sterling job in finding a suitable free new website for us andof creating OLD's new website. The previous Officelive website is to be deleted at the end of April. See our new one at http://onlinedelta.weebly.com
Brenda Navin is the only member of OLD who qualifies for the Torchbearer Degree and will be receiving her Ritual in her land chapter. What an honour and fine accomplishment..Bev Robertson is eligible for her Master's Degree that is also scheduled to be conducted with land chapter sisters. Our Vice President Evelyn assisted by Lisa conducted the Preceptor Ritual for Gin Taylor and the Laureate Ritual for Val Jerram on line at the end of March.
Our March Program covered theMeaning of loyalty in particular as regards to ourBSP customs, traditions and our ideals.
We have 34 current members with a cap of 45. We would be delighted to hear from any sister who know of anyone interested in joining an OnLine chapter. The new website is up at http://onlinedelta.weebly.com Please contact me Evelyn Brandby our Vice president at evgerry@comcast.net.
