Sharing Reports - Jan/Feb - 2013
Online Beta continues to meet 2nd Sunday of each month. Last month we had
an Ornament exchange and it was a hit. We shared who had our name and a
picture of the ornament.
We have a program and social committee and we continue to have these each
month. We had a Birthday party celebrating 15 years of being an Online
chapter. Happy Birthday to us, Online Beta.
Plans are being made to attend Georgia's convention in September on Jekyll
Island. We usually arrive couple days ahead of time and outings are planned where we get together as a group before convention.
Respectfully,
Madonna

Online Xi has a social every month. In November, we attended a Thanksgiving celebration in Plymouth, Massachusetts. In December, we visited Disneyland in California and had fun experiencing their Christmas festivities.
We had two interesting programs since CC last met. Dana V gave a program on motorcycles/motorcycle safety in November, and Christina H explained how we can make our own homemade sodas in December.
Krissie E. received her Exemplar rank in November.
Congratulations go out to Christina H., who received her educator license and will be teaching 5th and 6th grade Special Ed.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tina and Jaime. Jaime lost his parents in a fire before the holidays.
You are among friends,
Krissie E.

Online kappa has contined to meet monthly. We learned about some Christmas
traditions for our programs and had a lovely 'cookie exchange'. Our
chapter continues to share our good times such as family traditions for the
holidays and travels, and the sad/tough times like illness and surgeries of
members, former members and family members. We support each other via email,
phone calls and even visits!

Online Omicron voted on and will be ordering our sorority shirts. Additionally, we will be electing new officers in March.
Nothing else to report.
Nothing else new to report.
The Sisters of On Line Psi wish you a Happy Healthy New Year. Some of our members have been dealing with medical challenges and family issues. We hope the new year will bring positive changes for all of us.
There is, however, some good news to report. Kathy and Marcia enjoyed participating in Cyber Council's "You're among friends - Getting to Know You Project." Some of our chapter members participated in the BSP Holiday Exchange. Since our last Cyber Council meeting, Cheryl has welcomed a new grandson to her family.
MEMBERSHIP: Lib, from Arizona Laureate Sigma, visited our December meeting and has decided to join us. Needless to say, we are thrilled to welcome a new member to OLP.
SERVICE: We continue to click the Breast Cancer Site, the Animal Rescue Site and additional sites at
the top of the web page:http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=2
PROGRAMS: In November Janice presented a Program Study on Friendship Among Women and how the hormone oxytocin helps to reduce stress in women.
SOCIAL: Kathy hosted the December social. She invited us to her home for an Online Cookie Exchange. When we arrived, Kathy had a warm fire in the fireplace and SNICKERDOODLES baking in the oven! We shared cookies and helped ourselves to hot tea, coffee and egg nog. In the spirit of the holidays, we had a good chat and shared Christmas stories. Our December social was a hit!
BOOK CLUB: In November Karen led a discussion on "Killing Lincoln" by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard - the story of Lincoln's last days on earth. Our December book was "A cup of Christmas Tea" by Tom Hegg. Both books are very compelling.
RECIPES: In keeping with the holiday season, Kathy posted the following delicious recipes: Cran-Raspberry pie, Walnut- Cranberry Coffee Cake and Raspberry-Pink Peppercorn Meringues. Feel free to email me if any of you would like a copy of these recipes.

ONLINE DELTA SHARING REPORT written by Val J covering Nov/Dec 2012
Our horizons are broadened somewhat when we read books we never would have dreamt of taking home from the local library. In November we discussed the "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins and in December we discussed “The Dressmaker of Khair Khana” by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon
Bobbi & I have both participated in Cyber Council's "You're Among Friends – Getting to Know You Project" and have each enjoyed getting to know a little more about two different members of Cyber Council which has been fun. BSP has such a rich powerhouse of talented and interesting women as its members. It has been fun to put together a thumbnail picture of the person behind the name in Cyber Council. Round 3 begins this week and we both look forward to communicating with our third partner.
We have welcomed a new member since the last council meeting and Heather has already contributed to the richness of chapter communications.
Temperatures experienced by our members in the Northern and Southern hemisphere have ranged between -40 and +40 Fahrenheit and summer fires are causing dreadful destruction in Australia.
The Laureate Ritual was held for Ellen. Congratulations Ellen. It is a lovely ritual and Ellen richly deserved the honour of Laureate conferred on her during our December meeting. We all joined Ellen after her Ritual and brought “goodies” to share on line (some with recipes) during our monthly Koffee
Klatch presented by Brenda Navin.
It was interesting to have shared trips down memory lane with members sharing stories and photos as our Social took us "Touring of BSP Conventions, both in the US and Australia". Members then participated in the Social by adding information and photos of conventions they had attended over the years.
Our November Program had us sharing how we each celebrate Thanksgiving or the equivalent of this United States holiday.
Members of our chapter are intrepid travellers and we have shared in some of the magic moments of our tripping about far and wide. Many travel in their motor homes for long periods of time.
We have also had our fair share of members and family members dealing with difficult medical issues and I am pleased to say there seems to have been positive progress for quite a few folks.
The holidays have kept everyone very busy, so to liven up the communication online, we have once again played the game ---
“5 Reasons I am Happy”.
