MY NEW YEAR'S PROMISE

"I have promised myself these things to do
When the Old Year is gone and we start with the new.
I shall look high on the shelves of my mind
To search for the worthwhile things I can find,
The Friendships I've made I'll cherish each day,
The joy of living, my work, my play--
I shall endeavor with heart and soul
To keep my faith--to reach my goal."

"TO REACH MY GOAL!" Therein lies the challenge. Too often the word "goal" is passed by. It has been used over and over so many times that we often disassociate the word of any personal meaning.

Time and time again our Founder, Walter W. Ross, told individual members and Chapters of Beta Sigma Phi, "Set for yourselves the most difficult goal you can imagine-and then go about accomplishing it!"

And, every time it has been done, it has worked.
